A Survivor's Story CIC

Domestic violence awareness is crucial in order to the cycle of abuse and provide support to those affected. By educating ourselves and others about the signs of domestic violence, we can help create a safer environment for all. It is so very important to speak out against domestic violence and support survivors in their journey towards the healing and safety in order to a healthy happy future.

A Survivor's Story CIC

Break the silence, end violence

What we do at A Survivor’s Story;

We are helping others know that they are NOT alone after experiencing domestic abuse or currently experiencing.

We have used our previous experience of domestic abuse to help others, the founder has been a Victim of domestic abuse;

- Economic abuse

- Psychological Abuse

- Gaslighting

And more.

Charlotte started A Survivor’s Story in January 2023.

Phil Montague joined Charlotte as Event’s Co-ordinator, with Denise Dows joining shortly after Phil helping plan events with Phil.

Then in August 2023 Abby Walker joined as our Kids Co-ordinator  and kids entertainment while also running her own charity called Walker With Us.

We want to offer Survivor’s & Victims support, by offering them support packs with leaflets on services on where they can obtain help & professional support.

But in these support packs we also offer little items as a “pick me up” such as toiletries, hand painted rocks, notepads.

We have been working closely with other companies and charities to offer help;

- Rewrite your story

- Eskrimadors Gym Maidstone helping with self defence classes for men, juniors and women.

We are offer support / care packages to Survivor's and Victims of domestic abuse. These care packages contain information on nation wide, local charities and companies that can help them on the road to recovery, with information about several local companies that have help A Survivor's Story become what it has today.

We also have support item's for children; such as colouring books, pens, a worry monster teddy bear, a set of worry dolls, and some little extra bits for them as we know children can and do suffer trauma just as much as adults do.

We are fully self funded - this all comes out of our own pockets and we rely solely on donations of items and public funding xx

We want to show Victims / Survivor's / sufferers know that they are NOT alone, healing is difficult but there is light at the end of the tunnel & we are there to support them
